Taste 1973
Restaurant Taste 1973 stands out for being a signature and creative cuisine, driven by passion and emotion, using km0 product and innovative techniques to create experiences and emotions.
All this is thanks to Gastrosinapsis, a multidisciplinary research team co-founded by Diego Schattenhofer, which fuses science and gastronomy in order to bring local produce to its full potential, giving the recognition it deserves to both its culture and its origin. This work is reflected in the adjacent R+D+I laboratory, in which all the elements and variables of a menu are analysed and merged to maximise its value.
The primary objective of this centre is to promote research in the coming years to continue creating new disruptive projects in gastronomy and hospitality, highlighting the importance of the primary sector.

The Kitchen
Signature cuisine, creative and personal, with innovative gastronomic techniques that highlight the diffusion of flavours, the fusion of the singularities and history of Tenerife and particularly of the south of the island, in the kitchen.
A specific space has been carefully created for research, experimentation, creativity and innovation (R+D+i).

Taste 1973 Restaurant has two tasting menus: Roque Guincho and Roque de Arona Hío.
Our gastronomic experience of the Roque de Arona Hío tasting menu lasts approximately 3 hours.
Option with food and wine pairing available.
The Team
Taste 1973 Restaurant is led by chef Diego Schattenhofer. Co-founder of multidisciplinary teams such as Astrochefs or Gastrosinapsis, dedicated to improving the culinary experience.
In recent years, he has given various presentations at renowned congresses such as San Sebastián Gastronómica and Madrid Fusión. He also received the Best Technological Innovation Award for his “Flying Tapas” together with Astrochefs (2010).
Together with the kitchen team, our staff is dedicated to the maximum with the aim that the diner enjoys the experience in all senses.
Our waiters are led by Aníbal Morales, first maître d’ and sommelier, a highly qualified professional with a long career and experience in the sector.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
In case of cancellations before 24h, the day of the booking can be changed according to availability. After the 24h cancellation period, a cancellation fee of 50€ per person will be charged.
